The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), has released the intimation notice SEBI Grade A 2025 recruitment process. This intimation notice is for the post of SEBI Grade A Officer (Assistant Manager). There are a total of 110 vacancies have been announced for the streams of General Stream, Legal Stream, Information Technology Stream, Research Stream, Official Language Stream, Engineering (Electrical) Stream and Engineering (Civil) Stream. SEBI Grade A Officer – Age Limit (as on September 30, 2025)

• You should not be older than 30 years on this date.
• This means your date of birth should be October 1, 1995 or later.
• Relaxation in the upper age limit will be available for reserved categories as per government rules.

SEBI Grade A Application Fees 2025

SEBI Grade A 2025 Selection Procedure for Grade A Officers

As of 2024, the selection process of SEBI Grade A comprised of 3 phases. This year it may or may not undergo a change. Have a look:

SEBI Grade A Exam Pattern 2025 (Based on 2024)

The Mode of selection shall be a three-stage process i.e.

1. Phase 1 (Prelims),
2. Phase 2 (Mains), &
3. Phase 3 – Interview.

SEBI Grade A 2024 Phase 1 Exam Pattern (Prelims)

(On-line screening examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each),

1. Paper 1 – 100 Marks – 60 Mins – 30% cutoff
2. Paper 2 – 100 Marks – 40 Mins – 40% cutoff

Important Pointers to note about the phase 1 exam pattern:

1. There shall be negative marking (1/4th of marks assigned to the question) for Paper 1 and Paper 2 in Phase 1.
2. There shall be a cut-off of a minimum of 30% for Paper 1 (no sectional cut-off shall be there) and a cut-off of a minimum of 40% for Paper 2 in Phase 1.
3. Candidates would need to secure separate cut-off in each paper as mentioned above as well as aggregate cut-off marks of 40% in the Phase 1 exam to be shortlisted for Phase 2.
4. Marks obtained in Phase 1 shall be used only for shortlisting the candidates for the Phase 2 examination process and will not be counted for the final selection of the candidates.
5. Subject to the criteria mentioned all the candidates who clear Phase 1 shall be shortlisted for Phase 2. A list of candidates shortlisted for Phase II will be made available on the SEBI website.

SEBI Grade A Officer Pay Scale

The pay scale of officers in Grade A has increased to ₹ ₹62500 - 3600 (4) - 76900 - 4050 (7) - 105250 - EB - 4050 (4) - 121450 - 4650 (1) - 126100 [17 years].

SEBI Grade A Officer Gross Monthly Emoluments and In-hand Salary

Presently, the gross emolument including SEBI's Contribution towards National Pension Scheme (NPS), Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Family Allowance, Local Allowance, Learning Allowance, Special Grade Allowance, etc. at Mumbai at the minimum of this scale is approx. ₹1,84,000/- p.m. without accommodation and ₹1,43,000/- p.m. with accommodation.

SEBI Grade A Officer's Accommodation Facility

SEBI Grade A Officer's Posting

The incumbent may be posted and transferred to any location in India where SEBI has its Offices. The recruited officers may be posted to any department of SEBI, irrespective of stream.

SEBI Grade A Officer's Probation Period

The successful candidates recruited for the post of Officer Grade ‘A' shall undergo probation of two years. The candidates shall be confirmed in the services of SEBI subject to their satisfactory performance during the probation period.
