SBI Apprentice Selection Process

State Bank of India (SBI) conducts an online examination for the recruitment of apprentices in various states and union territories. The candidates who are interested in applying for the SBI apprentice exam should know the selection process and the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Here is a brief overview of the SBI apprentice exam selection process.

Online Written Test

The first stage of the selection process is an online written test, which consists of four sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total duration of the test is one hour and the total marks are 100. The candidates have to qualify in each section by securing the minimum cut-off marks decided by the bank.

Local Language Test

The candidates who qualify in the online written test will be called for a local language test, which will be conducted by the bank in the respective states or union territories. The candidates have to prove their proficiency in the local language of the state or union territory they have applied for. The local language test will be of qualifying nature and no marks will be allotted for it. The candidates who fail to qualify in the local language test will be disqualified from the selection process.

Medical Examination

The final stage of the selection process is a medical examination, which will be conducted by the bank to ensure that the candidates are medically fit for the apprenticeship. The medical examination will be as per the standards prescribed by the bank. The candidates who are found medically unfit will be rejected from the final selection.
